This is a whole lots of iterations using the replicate in space patch with one of my previous experiments. Some of them are audio activated others are moving with the interpolation patch. Sometimes I got confused looking at the viewer wether it was with audio input or not as it takes a bit of fiddling around with the numbers to get a good balance.
Putting it straight into the 'Replicate in Space' patch with no other patches generating anything.
Putting the code straight into the 'Replicate in Space' patch, as these are lines its quite good to leave the rotation as it is and don't need to adjust the 'Origin X' and 'Final Translation X' value.
Using the 'Interpolation' patch to determine the 'Start Position X' for each line. Even though they are technically the same patch apart from one having negative values, you would think they both would rotate instead of just one. It does leave a nice pattern and would look into speeding up or down one or the other.
It's a bit weird to think that such a simple combination of putting two patches together and putting them into two macro patches to duplicate them. I tried to adjust the values to slow it down and even connected the 'Audio Input' patch into each of the connection points but I didnt manage to reduce them. It does look like its being activated randomly when looking at it for a period of time.
This is the composition I developed further to the final piece for Quartz Composer. Below the first code you can see another iteration, specifying the colours for the start and the end. This time as above the coded patches are inside another 'Replicate in Space' macro patch.
