Getting used to Grasshopper took me a while and looking at different kind of tutorials really helped. Putting it into 123D Make was quite simple. I like using 123D Make as you can manipulate an object to achieve another without changing the bases of the geometry too much.
This one is similar to the tutorial from Oli but using the points of the curve one can change the geometry easily and add a subtle flow to the sharp geometry. This one was a little harder putting it into 123D Make and had to be shrinkwrapped to be able to be folded or potentially even 3D printed as it has no thickness/ walls. The shrinkwrap did change the geometry slightly but does keep the original shape slightly. The bottom looks a but like an outline of a foot or side view of a hand.
